Johnpaul Jones

Johnpaul Jones, FAIA, Principal Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects, Ltd. A Founding Principal with Jones & Jones and Fellow in the American Institute of Architects, Johnpaul has more than 30 years of design experience. An American Indian (Cherokee/Choctaw) born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, his designs have won recognition for heightening human sensitivity to cultural and environmental issues. Mr. Jones has worked closely with a number of American Indian tribes throughout the United States, incorporating their architectural and cultural heritage into structures designed specifically to honor each American Indian tribe.

Johnpaul has planned and designed a number of educational centers, nature centers, and cultural centers that interpret for the visitor a respect and stewardship of the natural world, animal world, spirit world, and human world. As Principal-in-Charge of many of Jones & Jones’s award-winning design projects, he brings an integrated approach to built environments and the conversation of natural resources, creating projects of public significance and celebration.
